IL CUCULO: Un paradiso a due passi da Siena - Rapolano Terme Armaiolo

Il CUCULO is a freestanding country house, located in a typical Tuscan setting, surrounded by intact woods between SIENA and Monte San Savino. Charming stone farmhouse, dating from the 16th century and recently restored, sits on a soft hill top enjoying stunning views of the hills and valleys that lead towards Siena. Set at the end of a long private drive guaranteeing total privacy, Il Cuculo, is the ideal family retreat. Lawns surround the house and the courtyard offering the ideal location for al fresco meals. Il Cuculo offers 4 large bedrooms, each with a private bathroom with shower, bidet, WC and sink. 800 square meter private garden and in total 20 hectar property with woods and olive groves, rosemary, lavendar and sage. Furnished in the traditional style you will find large oak beams and terracotta tiles. The house radiates an informal character, both very quiet and kind. To the terraced garden where well kept lawns and lavender plants lead you to a lower terrace where in a breathtaking panoramic position there is our private pool. At less than 10m from the villa, just below the courtyard, the pool (12 x 6 mt with steps for entry exit) allows you to enjoy the sun from early morning until sunset with uninterrupted views of the rolling countryside. The area is equipped with umbrella, sunbeds, tables and chairs. IL CUCULO: some say the name is inspired by the place where it stands, i.e. on the top of a hill (cucuzzolo=little peak), others say it comes from the bird of prey which lives in the area (cuckoo). The house has been recently rebuilt. We respected its ancient structure (it was a 150 years old country house belonging to peasants). A soli 3 km il piccolo borgo di Palazzuolo con un ottimo ristorante.
